About Us

We have been moving trains since 1990 and our dedication, care and experienced service has led us to working with a wide variety of industries including, government, private and heritage rail operators as well as museums, private collectors and the film industry. 

We can move carriages of different sizes, shapes and lengths; some without the need for cranes (roll on, roll off ) thereby reducing costs.  We can move your carriage or tram from around the corner to the other side of Australia.

Who We Are

Craig Parkinson.

Craig is the head of operations and you will deal with him every step of the way.  With many years experience in both modern commercial and heritage rail operations, Craig's experience brings a practical approach to all of the logistical arrangments of the job.

Attention to detail is Craig's by-word and he has a reputation as a meticulous and passionate restorer of vintage machinery including cars, buses, trams and even steam engines ensures quality at every stage.

Craig is an active member of the several museums and society's as well as participating in machinery shows around Australia.

Our History

Founded by Mario Mencigar in 1990, Australian Train Movers has been working with a wide variety of industries including the film industry, heritage and government rail operators, private collectors and museums.

Now in 2016 Mario has passed the torch to Craig  and the services that Australian Train Movers provide can continue into the future.
